“Help Me Help You!” 

A quick 4-3-2-1 safe and socially distant note from your friend and real estate agent, Dee. 

You’ve probably noticed my different themed headers each month. I can’t help myself; they’re fun to create. This month, I wanted to add a little vitamin c to your day. Who couldn’t use a little citrus boost, right? While we continue to process the reality of this pandemic, struggle and adjust to a new and challenging way of life, I thought I’d distract you with a few helpful lists and reminders, in addition to more tips from the procrastinate-less-and-get-stuff-done book, Eat That Frog! This month’s tips 13, 14, and 15 may just be the stay-at-home key you need to help you focus on that task, assignment, or project you’ve been trying to finish—or start? I’ve also inserted several subliminal messages below—okay, they’re more like obvious mini-me Bitmojis. You know the drill: wash hands, keep your distance, stay home! And if you’re a medical worker, first responder, grocery worker, process, stock, or deliver food, products, mail, packages, etc., or work in any kind of frontline, first-responder, or military work, THANK YOU for your continued service! 

4 safe and responsible ideas for grocery shopping 

  1. Stay home if you can, order your groceries online and have them delivered.
  2. Limit your visits, shop during “off” hours, and have a plan (download, print, and use my handy grocery list).
  3. Keep your distance, plan on taking more time than usual, and use disinfecting wipes.
  4. Don’t buy excess, pay with a card, and thank your grocery workers.

3 frog-eating ways to help you focus on that important task or project you’ve been wanting to start—or finish. (You know the one.)

  1. Put the pressure on yourself: Imagine that you have to leave town for a month, and work as if you had to get your major task completed before you left.  
  2. Motivate yourself into action: Be your own cheerleader. Look for the good in every situation. Focus on the solution rather than the problem. Always be optimistic and constructive. 
  3. Technology is a terrible master: Take back your time from enslaving technological addictions. Learn to often turn devices off and leave them off.

Do you have a room in your home you avoid or hardly use? Does it lack balanced lighting? Try adding light on two sides and see what happens. It might be a fun experiment.
